Descendants of WWII Rangers Scholarships
June 1 marked the final date for applicants to apply for one of the
National Ranger Memorial Foundation’s $1,000 scholarship.
The 2011 campaign ended with 39 scholarships being
awarded of which 5 went to WWII Ranger family members.
Those receiving a $1,000 scholarship are Briana J.Vermeer
(St. Ambrose University), Emily Mannheimer (Northwestern
University); Brianna Galbraith (University of Wisconsin-Eau
Claire); Alison Galbraith (University of South Dakota) and Nora
Fulmer (Franklin & Marshall College). We are very proud of these
Ranger family members.
More than $250,000 has been awarded to
Rangers and their families since the program began in 2001.
In 2005, the amount increased from $750 to $1,000.
This year’s recipients bring the total of $1,000
scholarships awarded to 205.
“The $1,000 scholarships enable us to assist more Ranger
families with educational expenses in today’s troubled economy.
We are helping tomorrow’s leaders”, said retired MG
Kenneth C.Leuer, NRMF Chairman.”
Your donations to the RBA Scholarship Fund make a
difference to qualified applicants to continue their education.
Every dollar counts.
We hope you continue to send in donations to such a
worthy cause. Parts

of each calendar year. The winning applicants will be notified by
e-mail in July of that year. The award will be sent to the
